Keith A. Rosten
… represents small and medium-sized businesses in various business transactions. With a broad-based expertise that includes business formation, corporate and government contracting, Mr. Rosten understands small business, startups, nonprofits and government contractors. Before joining the firm, Mr. Rosten ran a startup government contracting firm for renewable energy products before selling the company to a private equity firm. His business experience also includes managing a successful real estate investment company. He has experienced both the legal and business sides of running a small business.
Mr. Rosten practiced law with the national law firm of Adams, Duque & Hazeltine in its Los Angeles, California and Washington, D.C. offices. He later was a consultant and attorney working on joint venture projects between U.S. and Russian companies. Mr. Rosten has managed his own boutique law firm, working with small businesses on the whole host of issues from formation, employee compensation, mergers and acquisitions, business transactions and dispute resolution. Mr. Rosten maintains a blog and resources for businesses in the widely-read Rosten Law blog.
Mr. Rosten represents both foreign and domestic clients, performing as outside general counsel. He also advised clients on doing business abroad. His clients come from numerous countries, including many from the countries that were once part of the Soviet Union. He has lived and worked in both Russia and Kazakhstan and speaks Russian.
Mr. Rosten has his undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Irvine, his law degree from the University of Illinois, and his M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He has sat on boards of directors of nonprofits and was president of the board of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network - DC, an organization that cultivates entrepreneurship and works with small businesses through and within the greater Washington, DC community. Mr. Rosten is a member in good standing of the bars of California and the District of Columbia.
